  Perfect day for patio dining and day drinking. Food was great, the drinks were even better and our server was awesome. Can't wait to go back and try something else!

  The Gathering is the fine dining experience I've been in search of since moving to the Bowling Green area in 2016. We've been there twice for special occasions (birthday and valentines day), and both times the experience was off the charts. We haven't been to the Anvil yet, so this review is just for the restaurant and wine shop.
  
  The restaurant's atmosphere is typical white tablecloth fine dining - small but with a couple of different rooms and in my experience reservations are not difficult to get. We prefer to eat in the wine shop where the environment feels a little more casual but also individualized. The service has been exceptional both times we've visited, and they even recognized us the second time we came in!
  
  Their menu and wine list change seasonly if not monthly, which means there will always be something new and delicious to try. The wines by the glass choices are very reasonable and true to varietal. You can also order off of the whiskey list from the Anvil, which I highly recommend as several Kentucky distilleries create specialized barrels just for the restaurant that you absolutely cannot get elsewhere. The list is massive, but the staff are more than educated and able to help you narrow down your choices.
  
  The food is impeccable, I would say the ragout is a must if it is your first time. The wine shop also offers hundreds of bottles for sale and again, plenty of help if you need assistance choosing just one or two. They do offer the ability to do flights or tastings of the wines by the glass, and the space, especially the Anvil have special events all the time so it is quite the location!

  It's listed as a wine bar (Gathering Wine), whiskey bar (Anvil Whisky Bar) and restaurant (The Gathering), which it is but the combination of The Gathering / Gathering Wine/ Anvil Whiskey Bar offer so much more. I really love this place not only for its good food but for its overall diversity. You can take advantage of one of the best wine bars and wine collections around, relax in the comfort of an outdoor patio or enjoy the goodness of a restaurant not only with top traditional food offerings but those of unique and inventive culinary qualities as well. For example, they offer a Rabbit Stew, a Poutine with a veal gravy that will rival any found in Canada and local fish delights such as Lake Perch.
  
  For my meals I've had their beer battered Lake Perch which fish is always a great treat and another fish dish served with a knockout gorgeous flower garnish presentation. Both were delicious and for dessert their Banana Foster couldn't have been better.
  
  But all in all the thing about Gather that really shines is that besides the good food, wine and whiskey, it's a fun place to be.

  A last minute change in dinner plans resulted in finding a hidden gem. The Gathering is our favorite place in town. Had our first date there and celebrated our Anniversary dinner there as well.

  It is quite incredible to find one of your favorite restaurants in one of the most unlikely places, and I have found this with The Gathering in Findlay.  I have enjoyed two lovely meals at The Gathering both with large parties and both were incredibly memorable.  My second time at The Gathering I ordered the swordfish, risotto and greens.  The Swordfish was cooked beautifully, oozed flavor, and felt moist with each bite.  The risotto was creamy, well seasoned, and cooked to the ideal texture.  Always a pleasure to visit this location every time I'm in Findlay.
